I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Truer words were never spoken. It's really strange how God works in mysterious ways. I never had any intention of writing a teen novel. My love for reading and writing was all about Romance and Adventure. One night I was watching a movie on Lifetime. Yes, I was actually watching Lifetime, and it had an enormous impact on me. The story of Rainey, Alicia and Tamara may be fiction in I Wish I Had Waited, but we all know they are out there. We may know one of each of these young ladies. If this story keeps one girl from making a mistake which will impact her entire life, I feel my work is done. I Wish I Had Waited is a realistic look at what could happen to our friends, sisters, nieces, and daughters if they fall into the pitfalls of rushing to grow up. The novel not only shows for every action there is a reaction not only by you, but by the people around you. It makes you stop and think about your choices. Be careful, beware, trust your instincts and be safe. Sylvia |
